Whilst I have called this class ‘Low Light’, it’s because I wanted to share my exact methods, techniques and colour choices to demonstrate how to create a portrait with very strong contrast and lighting.
This sort of lighting tends to happen when the sun is setting and creating those gorgeous orangey hues and deep contrasts.
Lighting, colour choices and contrast are some of the most key elements to create a realistic portrait so In this 8 hour class, I will share with you my entire process for producing a portrait that captures the low sunlight effect.
From layering to colour theory and everything inbetween, I share every part of the process along with line art, materials guide and reference should you wish to follow along too.
I do use a lot of different colours in this class to demonstrate the sort of shades that can be used to create differed hues and depth but if you do not have all the colours then do not worry - my demonstration is just that, a demonstration to help you pick the sort of colours you could use.
Over 8 hours of guided real time drawing and informative voice over delivered in video format on how to draw this beautiful dark bay in coloured pencils from line art to completed portrait.
Upon purchasing, you can watch at your own lesiure.
It covers my complete approach to coloured pencils as well as my thought process, techniques and tips throughout. This masterclass will teach you the fundamental skills and information you need to help you produce highly detailed, realistic coloured pencil portraits.
